Candlewood Lake



Just one hour north of New York City, Candlewood Lake is the largest lake in Connecticut stretching over 14-miles long and having over 90-miles of shore line. With this as its backdrop, Candlewood East Marina enjoys one of the most ideal locations in New England.

If you’re interested in boating on Candlewood Lake there are a few important facts to remember:

  • The lake speed limit is 45 mph during the day
  • The lake speed limit is reduced to 25 mph 30-minutes after sunset until 30-minutes before sunrise
  • Candlewood Lake is now limited to boats UNDER 26-feet in length unless you have successfully applied for an exemption sticker
